Sodexo Culinary Food Operations Manager in HERSHEY, Pennsylvania

Role Overview

Sodexo is currently seeking a Culinary Food Operations Manager for the Penn State Medical Center Corporate Office / Crystal Building. Located in the Crystal Building is a cafeteria serving employees and visitors breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. Qualified candidates must have a knowledge of finances with experience submitting weekly financials, managing multiple budgets, and culinarian experience.

The Culinary Food Operations Manager position will be very hands on managing daily operations while also ensuring quality andconsistency. This role will manage 2-5 employees and will have direct responsibility for account - approximately 160k in annual managed volume.

What You Bring

  • have oversight of daily food operations and deliver a high-quality product;

  • has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;

  • has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;

  • can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and

  • can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Management Experience - 2 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
