job summary:
A Process Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in Hickory or Newton, NC areas. A Senior Process Engineer responsible for driving process improvements, defect and variability reduction, and Six Sigma initiatives in a high-speed manufacturing environment, while providing hands-on technical support, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

responsibilities:
Lead manufacturing process improvements and initiatives focused on variability, defect, and throughput reduction.
Support and drive problem-solving efforts in manufacturing, identifying and resolving root causes.
Apply engineering principles to overcome production challenges.
Coach and mentor junior engineers, developing their skills.
Conduct experiments to enhance process understanding and support technology implementation.
Develop standard work documentation (SOPs, SOS, Job Aids, Training Documents).
Present updates to leadership on active workstreams.
Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
Skills:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Electrical, Statistics, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
