Job Responsibilities
Analyze material and program reports to understand issues and create action plans
Manage capacity planning tool (Preactor) to support shop floor execution
Schedule, release, and manage work order release
Oversee the day-to-day activities of the planners
Create and maintain special reports
Interface with production and engineering to understand and resolve issues
Enforce company and department policies and procedures
Monitor metrics and take action as appropriate
Actively involved in program closure activities
Communicate and clarify departmental goals and metrics
Responsible for ensuring monthly budgets are not exceeded, takes action to realign to plan if budgets are exceeded
Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense
Demonstrated knowledge of production planning management tools and procedures
Demonstrated management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
Strong internal customer interface skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control
Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense production planning activities
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
U.S. Citizenship required.
