  VCA Cairo Animal Hospital in Highland Park, Il, seeks a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our leadership team!

I n the * *Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role, your responsibilities *will include but are not limited to: *

• Directing workflow on the floor

• Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture

• Help with the interview process for potential new hires

• Technician Scheduling

• Assists in staffing and coverage where needed

• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills

• Assists in basic protocol and standard procedure training

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

• Ensure that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.

• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital

• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience 

• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, 4 x 10-hour shifts.

Compensation:

*Starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary technician

• Strong understanding of technical skills such as anesthesia, radiology, and surgery

• Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead a team of veterinary technicians and support staff, fostering a positive work environment.

• Licensed or able to become licensed in the state of IL (CVT, LVT ,RVT)
