The Patient Service Representative is responsible for general clinic office functions that support efficient and effective patient care including patient registration, insurance verification, collection of applicable co-insurance and/or co-payments and scheduling of diagnostic and follow-up appointments and answering phones

Location: 3823 Trueman Court, Hilliard, OH 43206

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM, Friday, 8:00AM – 3:30PM. (40 hours per week)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet patient when entering the practice

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information

  • Perform insurance verification on the date of service

  • File and maintain medical records

  • Confirms and schedule appointments

  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously

  • Collects co-pays or outstanding balances on the date of service

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience working in medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays and maintaining medical records

  • 6+ months of healthcare or customer service-related experience

  • Proficient in typing (50-60 wpm) and Microsoft Office
