Location/Division Specific Information

In this role, you will join our Facilities team providing support to our local site in Hillsboro, Oregon. As a Facilities Specialist you will ensure the team is providing the best service and environment for our building occupants. This role will focus on managing maintenance and improvement projects on existing equipment, developing scope and schedules for new equipment, and providing strong collaborating with site stakeholders on strategic changes and expansions plans. The Facilities department strives to provide outstanding engagement and support for our employees, visitors, and business partners.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Lead and coordinate multi-functional facilities and operations projects from inception through completion including construction, adaptation, and installation of new and existing facilities and equipment, while ensuring schedules and budget goals are met

  • Understand and develop project scope within the guidelines of the Facilities Project Playbook and project management tools - including developing and meeting key project schedules using standardized processes, reporting tools and templates, and applying appropriate design guidelines.

  • Align program/project goals and expectations with key partners and ensure the program implementation across workstreams and business groups. Driving strong alignment between key corporate functions such as Corporate Real Estate, Security, EHS, Quality, Risk Management, and Sustainability.

  • Define process requirements and establish project design criteria based on engineering analysis and evaluation. Prepare detailed functional specifications. Identify strategic projects and plan timelines for delivery of project scope. Simultaneously lead and support multiple construction and improvement projects by leading teams to deliver results.

  • Develop applications to fund Capital projects based on the project scope, budget, schedule and any other relevant data. Analyze and review processes, procedures, and studies to develop project alternatives.

  • Develop and coordinate equipment maintenance schedules, establish sustaining budgets, and implement plans to minimize unforeseen downtime

  • Work closely with colleagues in local finance and procurement to optimize service solutions, price, and scope in contractual agreements required to sustain the site.

  • Ensure compliance with local, national and international legislation and alignment with company rules and regulations.

  • Work with the Environmental, Health and Safety team to ensure the buildings meet health and safety standards and legislation.

  • Prioritize and drive tasks and remove barriers to enable completion with minimum disruption to core activities. Collaborate with teams across the organization to define and meet project scopes, schedules, quality targets and budgets

  • Ensure complete equipment, building, and infrastructure documentation including up-to-date drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and maintenance records are held in a locally accessible location.

  • Clearly and regularly communicate the status of projects and activities to site management.

  • Additional activities as requested in support of facilities objectives.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills:

  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or a related technical field

  • 3 years experience leading site level facilities improvement projects and/or sustaining activities

  • 3 years experience working with semiconductor cleanroom construction and design

  • One or more years of experience with using AutoDesk AutoCAD software

  • Applied experience coordinating wet and dry mechanical systems and design

  • Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment with multiple customers

  • Confirmed organization, interpersonal, and problem solving skills

  • Certified Project Management certification desirable
