Aerotek Industrial Maintenance Technician in Hillsboro, Oregon

Description:

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be working with a variety of production equipment. Will work with a team to complete daily repairs, maintenance, and functional improvement of a large-scale printing and paper production plant. This team is very collaborative, and is eager for someone who enjoys problem solving, process improvement, and enjoys a family-feel environment in the work place. They are in need of someone who is adaptable and willing/able to take on tasks independently.

This role is heavily focused on mechanical repairs, although there some electrical projects as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations; includes wearing all proper PPE, following LOTO procedures, and completing all maintenance documentation.

  • Maintenance and repair of all production equipment in the building, mainly printing presses, rollers, paper slicers, and tubers.

  • Perform and document preventative maintenance as directed.

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control components, photo-eyes, motor controllers, limit switches, proximity sensors, power transmission systems, etc.

  • Create plans for emergency repairs of critical equipment when needed.

  • Use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers. Perform basic shop math in this regard.

  • Maintain parts and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level. Communicate anticipated needs for parts and supplies. May be asked to place orders for new parts and verify receipts.

  • Position requires lifting and/or carrying up to 40 lbs, team lifts 100 lbs. Will be standing for much of the shift and using a wide range of motion to assess and complete repairs.

Schedule:

  • Will train on day shift before moving to swing shift
