RESPONSIBILITIES: Use manual and automated techniques to characterize RF power amplifier modules using equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, and a variety of microwave components. Proactively manage a workload of lab requests in cooperation with a team of other technicians and engineers. Document test procedures and measurement results. Configure test equipment setups for various types of specialized RF test methods given general direction and guidance. Support design and characterization engineers with measurement requests. Troubleshoot and maintain automated test systems. Assemble and modify microelectronic semiconductor devices according to drawings and specifications using small surface mount attachment working under a microscope. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree in technical field or equivalent military training, but previous experience will be considered. 4+ years\' experience in RF test, including power amplifier and semiconductor test in a design characterization or production environment. Working knowledge of RF circuits with understanding of parameters such as gain, current, power, noise figure, and linearity. Proficiency in use of automated RF test systems with understanding of basic theory of operation of the equipment within the system. Proficiency in use of Excel or other data processing and presentation tools. Excellent organization skills, plus good verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be organized, a self-starter, results-oriented, with the ability to work both as a team member and independently.
