Job Overview
Great Lakes Cheese is seeking an OD&T intern at our Corporate, OH location. This position is a paid internship and candidates must be geographically flexible. All offers will be based on year in school, skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees and certifications, and internal equity.
Job Responsibilities
Internship Program:
Engage with alumni to develop and lead pre-program activities for new interns, such as a website scavenger hunt, to boost engagement.
Train alumni in interviewing techniques to assist with the intern interview process.
Assist in the onboarding process for new interns, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition into the program.
Manage the intern companion program, facilitating meaningful connections between interns and mentors.
Strengthen relationships with key academic institutions, with a focus on Ohio State University (OSU) in Quality Assurance (QA).
Plan and execute engaging activities for interns throughout the duration of the internship program.
Identify opportunities for improving program efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership Development Program:
Collaborate with the design team to curate and develop program materials from initial design to completion.
Manage logistics for program workshops, including room setup, welcome kits, daily logistics, food orders, and pre- and post-program surveys.
Identify and work with leaders to find effective ways to store and archive program materials for future use.
Co-lead off-cycle engagement activities for the cohort, managing the accountability team and ensuring ongoing interaction and support.
Learning & Development (L&D):
Drive the usage of the Learning Management System (LMS) by understanding and preparing reports on current usage, identifying gaps, and suggesting changes.
Assess LMS content for new hires and propose improvements to ensure comprehensive onboarding.
Run post-program surveys to evaluate the quality of courses and gather feedback, specifically targeting salaried L&D programs.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager to support the overall goals and initiatives of the department.
Required Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, preferably in Human Resources, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Sophomore level and above.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Education and Experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
• Work is performed in an office setting.
• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
