Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Assembly Technician II - 1st Shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $17.00 per hour.

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s Commercial Products and Assemblies is currently seeking a 1st shift Epoxy Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Maxwell Avenue, SC location.

Hourly Rate: Starting at $17.00

Position Overview:

The Epoxy Technician II will be responsible for achieving daily production goals with focus on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. This role will be responsible for supporting the epoxy process at our Maxwell Avenue location. They will execute all required tasks including, but not limited to loading, unloading, grinding, demasking, and other duties as assigned. They will work with the team and flex in other areas as needed.

In this function you will:

• Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.

• Sustainment of 5S+ in area.

• Hang busbars at the loading station prior to entering the epoxy tank by using a wire tie tool.

• Inspect busbars using gauges and tape measures at the end of the epoxy process to ensure there are no quality defects.

• Remove caps and tab tape from bars after the epoxy process and use the air gun to remove any excess powder.

• Utilize hand grinders to remove any excess powder from the ends of the busbars.

• Match the completed busbars with appropriate paperwork with the correct quantity and plating type to be packed and sent to assembly.

• Match paperwork with loaded palettes and scan the appropriate barcodes to track material.

• Flex to other areas as needed, including, bar inspect, load, de-mask, grind, unload, and PTS scan.

• Use material handling equipment to move product and supplies. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum 3 months of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment

• Minimum three (3) months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)

• Minimum three (3) months of experience utilizing Eaton system controls including material management.

• Minimum 3 months of experience using hand and air tools

• South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus
