JOB SUMMARY:
As a member of a cross-functional team, performs semi-skilled production machine operations to assemble/fabricate a product or sub-assembly in accordance with team goals. May perform work manuallyand/or by machine operation which requires in-depth knowledge ofprocess and constant monitoring. Ensures product and process quality and efficiencythrough appropriateinspection and continuous improvement problem solving activities. Makes machine adjustments and typically manages several variables within the process. Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned area. Maintains material movement systems and completesproper paperwork and documentation to guide operations of the team.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Theduties listed belowwill be performedatdifferentdegreesdependentupontheassignedteam.Responsibilities includemachineoperation, assembly,trimming,material handlingandinspection.
Performs semi-skilledproduction work toassembleor fabricatea product orsub-assemblyinaccordance with teamproductiongoals.Mayperformworkmanuallyand/orbymachine operationwhich requiresin-depthknowledgeof process andconstantmonitoring.
Ensures product and process quality and efficiency through appropriate inspectionandcontinuous improvementproblemsolvingactivities.
Makesmachineadjustmentsandtypicallymanagesseveralvariableswithintheprocess.Maintains procedures and standards to provide compliance with quality standards for assigned area.
Efficiently performs basic preventative maintenance and minor machinesetups.
Maintains material movement systems and completesproper paperwork and documentation to guide operations of theteam.
Performs other duties as necessary insupportof teamobjectives.
Performs all work incompliancewith Magna and Magna Engineered Glass Systems Health,Safetyand
Environmentalpolicies andprocedures aswell asall federal, state,and locallaws; promptly reportanyhazardousconditionorworkplaceinjuryto immediate supervisor orEHS designate.
Train/retrain new employees and co-workers as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma, orequivalent.
Manufacturingexperience preferred.
Demonstrated decision making andproblem-solvingskills to manage,prioritize, and deal with many issues at onetime.
Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively in a teamenvironment.
Demonstrated ability to operate within production and quality standards; including being able to operate/utilize all job related equipment. equipment may include fork-lift, hand tools, production machinery, et cetera.
