GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced Project Engineer to be part of our Systems Planning Corporation (SPC), a subsidiary company of GAI Consultants, Inc.  The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality for assigned projects.  This is a temporary position working remotely on a variety of projects within the water/wastewater sector.  The initial duration is expected to last 6-12 months however this may be extended upon mutual agreement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supports scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety and profitability of all projects managed under the direction of the client. Supports project teams which may include engineering and field contractors. Supports projects that are typically time-sensitive, unique and /or complex, of significant magnitude, scope, and difficulty. May lead or support large project teams covering several disciplines with staff from more than one office and working in several locations Reviews project documents for clarity and completeness Monitors progress and provides periodic updates as required Qualifications: 5+ years of Project Engineering experience Experience working in water/wastewater sector Strong Communication skills (written and oral) Ability to collaborate and communicate with and garner support from key stakeholders and staff Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports and procedures, and governmental regulations Ability to write reports and other business correspondence Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public Has in-depth understanding of project goals, drivers, strategies, risks, and opportunities. Understands the company's businesses, competing projects, and profit impact of decisions. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of software as needed to successfully perform the duties described here, including MS Office Suite applications and software, document management systems, database software, HR Systems, internet software, and reporting tools related to databases Work remotely with ability to travel to GAI and client office locations as needed. Travel requirement is estimated at up to 20%.

Qualifications

Education Bachelors of Chemical Engineering (preferred) Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering (preferred) Bachelors of Engineering (required)

Experience Experience working in water/wastewater sector. (preferred) 5 years: Project Engineering experience. (required)

Licenses & Certifications Professional Engineer (preferred) Driver's License (required)
