GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Key Account Director in our Power & Energy Business Unit. GAI is an established Mid-Atlantic engineering firm that is focused on continued strategic growth. GAI's Power Business Unit focuses on developing and supporting Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients. An ideal candidate's opportunities would include developing client and business relationships and providing staff management across a diverse range of multi-discipline design and construction projects. This position is eligible for GAI's flexible hybrid and/or remote work . Responsibilities: Developing and leading a key account program; inclusive of annual key account goal setting; team assignments; recurring progress meetings; facilitating client satisfaction surveys; foster strategic business partnerships; and initiate / lead capture plans. Building solid relationships with Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients and internal clients within GAI's Business Sectors. Leading business development pursuits, developing statements of qualifications and proposed project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and fees. Developing a solid understanding of and marketing the services GAI performs. Collaborating, developing, and executing  GAI's business plan, as it pertains to top-line components. Serving as a primary seller/doer for the Power and Energy Business Unit throughout our strategic service territories, with specific focus on grid modernization programs. Leading teams to successfully execute all assigned projects. Working with Accounting staff to monitor and control project costs and billings to meet budgeted profit. General Characteristics Makes decisions with broad influence on activities of their practices. Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding projects and activities of major consequence. Provides leadership and develops and engages others to create a common vision for their projects and the practice. Assesses courses of resolution to ethical dilemmas in complicated situations.

Minimum Years of experience 20+ Certification/Licensure Driver's License Required Education B.S. Engineering or other technical degree, Master's Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred Technical Responsibilities Performs advisory or consulting work for the practice across broad project areas or within a specialized area with innovative/complex aspects. Assesses practices and requirements to achieve sustainable performance of complex engineering projects from a systems perspective. Project and Task Management 30% of time allocated to leading projects. Occasionally oversees multiple large or multidiscipline project teams. Develops projects needed for accomplishing the objectives of the practice. Occasionally evaluates project management plans for complex engineering projects. Develops risk mitigation plans to address project risks. Evaluates effectiveness of leaders and teams. Management Responsibility Receives general administrative direction from senior leadership team. Develops practice strategy for staff development through mentored experience, continuing education, and self-development. Communication Skills Negotiates critical and controversial issues with leadership of other practices. Represents their practice at important functions or conferences. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate and communicate with and garner support from key stakeholders and staff. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical reports and procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and other business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Tra el Requirements Must be able to travel to GAI and client office locations as needed. Travel requirement is estimated at up to 25%. Why GAI?
