Snelling is currently recruiting for a highly organized, professional, hardworkingNetwork Provider Specialistfor a well-established mental health company in theHomewood, AL area. This position is responsible for the continued development of PPO network, PPO rate negotiations, and orientation of providers. The starting salary for this position is $50,000-$60,000 with increases to come.

Duties for Network Provider Specialist:

• Develop, expand, and maintain PPO network, to include new provider identification, solicitation, and rate negotiation.
• Assist in conducting company provider orientations, including individual and regional provider training sessions, as requested.
• Serve as liaison with treatment providers, clients, patients, and others, as requested. Resolve problems on a timely basis.
• Assist Clinical Division and Accounting/Marketing Divisions as requested in support services related to specific or potential client contracts.
• Recommend revisions to PPO contract forms and rates as appropriate.
• Participate in ongoing marketing and provider relations efforts, as directed.
• Coordinate information on the competition, provider rates by region or city, national statistics, and relevant changes in the field with EVP/CQO.

Qualifications for Network Provider Specialist:

• Bachelors Degree in a related field.
• 3+ years of provider relations experience required, preferably with PPO/HMO or similar setting.
• Experience in managed care/PPO environment.
• Experience with fiscal issues, rate negotiations, and contractual terms.
• Rate negotiations and sales experience are a PLUS.
