Assistant IT Engineer (Building Automation)

Siemens, a global leader in technology and engineering, is seeking an Entry-Level IT Engineer to join our Building Automation team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in the dynamic field of building control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and implementation of building control systems, gaining hands-on experience with such as with Siemens' DesigoCC, WinCC, and Desigo Optic software platforms

• Work closely with senior engineers to understand and in integrating IT systems with building automation technologies

• Support projects that enhance building performance and efficiency through automation on enhancing building automation

• Learn and apply best practices in troubleshooting technical issues under the mentorship of experienced professionals

• Enforce ongoing evolution of building automation solutions

Requirements:

Individuals who meet the following requirements or possess the equivalent combination of competence and experience are invited to apply:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electrical Engineering or a related field

• Relevant experiences, coursework, projects, or internships in IT / automation / practical usage of hardware in building automation are in an advantageous.

• Entry-level position suitable for Candidates with little to or no professional work experience are welcomed

• Basic knowledge in programming and scripting languages (Python, Java, or C#), automation and control systems, and IT infrastructure with basic networking concepts

• Knowledge in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), communication protocols used in building automation (BACnet, Modbus, or KNX), energy management system, smart building technologies, cloud services, and IoT (Internet of Things) concepts would be an advantage

• Familiarity with fundamental concepts of automation and control systems. An interest in learning about various controllers, sensors, and actuators used in building automation.

• Awareness of communication protocols used in building automation such as BACnet, Modbus, or KNX is beneficial.

• A team player with problem-solving and communication skills, self-motivation ability and strong desire to learn from experienced professionals

• Recent graduates with passion are encouraged to apply
