Manulife Co-op program - Asia Operation Risk Management (Jan -Jun, Full-time) in Hong Kong, Hong Kong
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial/Math/Statistics student to join our team as an Operation Risk Management Internship. In this role, you will support the development and optimization of our risk review processes, quality assurance tools, and reporting systems. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your analytical skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Initiative Review Dashboard Development & Maintenance: Assist in developing and maintaining a more robust dashboard for initiative risk review processesEnable quick view access to historical and completed reviewsBuild capabilities to alert on any projects missing risk concurrence deadlines
Quality Assurance Tools: Support the development of quick QA tools for the Risk Posture Dashboard to verify dashboard metrics results
Change Assessment Reporting: Support on collecting & organizing the change assessment result from different functions into Segment/Portfolio Level Reporting
Reporting Tools Re-engineering: Review and provide suggestions to re-engineer our current reporting tools to make them better, easier, and faster
Data Monitoring Tools:
Develop monitoring tools to create a more efficient way to track the data cleanup process and reduce manual turnarounds
Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint for documentation and presentation purposes.
Experience with dashboard development and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
General AI skills are preferred, including familiarity with AI tools and techniques for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
