Demand & Inventory Planner, SEATH

POSITION SUMMARY:

Develop, tune and optimize demand plans and collaborate closely with merchandise planning, supply planning and buying to improve forecast accuracies and get closer to consumer demand.

Develop weekly/monthly inventory plans with rolling projections to achieve optimal inventory level and support availability of key products within Core assortment.

Track & monitor PO shipments to ensure on-time delivery in cooperation with regional supply planning, logistic and local merchandise team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Responsible for demand & inventory planning for Core assortment to meet or exceed financial targets and PVH+ strategic priorities.

  • Determine appropriate sales and inventory projections by style/color/size and store for Core products across all PVHs’ supply chain models, using PVH’s Demand, Inventory & Supply Planning toolset

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key partners and gather all important factors that influence demand to tune projections and achieve the highest possible forecast accuracy before publishing the demand forecast

  • Manage re-order coverage, safety stocks, presentation quantities and lead times; review inventory integration exceptions such as in-transits and ensure all demand is captured in the plan, before rolling up net needs from store and DC to execute buy

  • Determine reorder flow based on inventory status which is required to maximize sales opportunity.

  • Monitor weekly sales results and meet with cross-functional teams to review inventory status and latest demands. Provide financial information at SKU level to review current business against projections, plans, and historical information. Make tactical adjustments based on current trends as needed.

  • Manage phase-ins and phase-outs, while controlling aged-inventory level with markdown & promotion actions to maximize profitability and achieve WOH / sell-thru targets.

  • Work closely with region supply planning, logistics, merchandising and allocation teams to ensure proper communication and inventory KPIs are met, supporting brand ambitions on product & marketing, while maximizing availability and profitability.

  • Recap inventory status weekly and communicate effectively with relevant partners.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

  • Possesses excellent problem-solving and decision making skills. Able to create the right forecast and tune based on inputs from various stakeholders and external factors.

  • Has good ability to pivot and adjust based on changing demand and inventory situations with strong skillset to problem solve through advanced data analysis

  • Demonstrates highly developed listening, written and oral communication skills. Able to make persuasive arguments both in written and oral form. Able to reflect the appropriate sense of urgency and determine the proper business partners to resolve problems and share information.

  • Is able to build & nourish relationships with cross-functional team members.

  • Has outstanding self-management skills.

  • Shows strong retail math skills.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years retail in inventory, demand or supply planning.

  • College graduate and/or industry trained professional.

  • Strong English and Excel skills

  • Strong data, analytical skills

  • Planning System experience preferred (ideally JDA/Blue Yonder)
