Director, Colleague Communications and Events, Asia

In support of our mission, "Decisions made easier. Lives made better," we are hiring for the role of Director, Colleague Communications and Events on our Asia Segment Communications Team. This key role will lead the planning and creation of impactful colleague content and support large-scale colleague events across the region.

This role will also support local market colleagues in the planning and creation of colleague communications in alignment with regional, market, and global business needs. The role involves working closely with senior leadership across multiple departments to ensure effective communications across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in internal communications, exceptional writing and editing skills, event strategy and execution, and the ability to engage and inspire employees, aligning them to the company’s brand, purpose and values.

Position Responsibilities:

Main Areas of Focus

  • Strategic and Program Ownership : Own and execute the pan-Asia Colleague Communications strategy and its delivery, creating a cohesive story articulating our business strategy, bringing our values to life, and celebrating our mission leveraging executive voices across the region. Collaborate with regional colleagues across functions to identify and support regional colleague communications activities, programs and messaging aligned with regional priorities.

  • Market, Regional, and Global Alignment: Working with partners in markets, across Regional Office, and in Global Communications, ensure the strategy and execution built for pan-Asia colleague communications is connected and cascaded effectively. This will include preparing and managing timelines, core messaging, regional toolkits, regionalized/localized content.

  • Measurement and Effectiveness: Define and report on specific, measurable goals for annual colleague communications and events activities, such as improving employee engagement, increasing awareness of company initiatives, or fostering a unified corporate culture. Deliver consistent metrics and insights for these goals, bringing a continuous and grow-mindset to adapting and evolving our strategy and execution.

  • Message, Content and Toolkit Creation: Develop clear, consistent, and compelling pan-Asia key messages that reflect the company’s tone and values. Draft, edit, seek approval for, and distribute internal memos, leadership announcements, video scripts, internal articles and other internal communications. Create comprehensive toolkits that include templates, guidelines, and resources to ensure consistent messaging across all markets.

  • Content and Events Calendar : Plan and manage the Colleague Communications content and Colleague Events calendar and ensure it is shared and socialized with in-market colleagues and relevant stakeholders.

  • Channel Management : Manage regional internal communication channels, including intranet, emails, and digital platforms.

  • Event Coordination: In partnership with the Regional Events team, drive the strategic planning and coordination of regional internal large-format or executive meetings and events as needed. This includes developing agendas, identifying speakers (internal and external), coordinating logistics, and conducting rehearsals. Events in-scope include regional Town Halls, Asia leadership meetings, and large-format corporate events and celebrations.

  • Events & ICPs: Manage and own event-related communications including invitations and talking points and briefing packs for senior executives.

  • Feedback Channels : Create mechanisms for regular employee feedback to understand their needs and preferences and identify issues which should be incorporated into the colleague communications plan.

Required Qualifications:

Skills & Experience

  • Language Proficiency: Exceptional English skills, both written and verbal.

  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in managing relationships with senior executives.

  • Cultural Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a multicultural, collaborative environment.

  • Team Player: Self-motivated with strong teamwork capabilities.

  • Regional Experience: Experience in communications within the Asia region (either regional or local market).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience working in internal communications, developing messaging in a cross-functional work environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the financial services or insurance industry is an asset.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in an Asian language is a benefit.
