Queen's Health System Business Analytics Project Analyst - Finance (Full-Time, 40, day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead role in development, preparation and monitoring of performance improvement projects.
• Identifies opportunities, analyses risk factors, and makes appropriate recommendations, while providing high quality and responsive customer service.
• Serves as a financial consultant to executive/management teams to ensure financial goals/objectives for assigned departments, divisions, and service lines are met.
• Responsible for coordination and execution of projects as assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, frequent gripping of an object.
• Continuous: finger dexterity.
• Occasional: standing, walking, stooping/bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting body, lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying usual weight of 10 pounds up to 20 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
• Operates calculator, typewriter, computer, facsimile, copier.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, or other related analytical/data/business information field.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years progressive experience in finance, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting and analysis, financial modeling and forecasting.
o Ability to develop and maintain PC worksheets of high complexity.
o Ability to extract and report off relational databases.
o Ability work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assigned tasks effectively and efficiently with high quality customer service.
o Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
o Leadership and critical thinking skills.
