Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing specific and moderate portions of broader assignments under the guidance of experienced engineers or licensed professionals.

• Gathering and correlating basic engineering data using established procedures.

• Working on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations, relatively simple tests, and modifications of standard procedures to solve new problems.

• Proposing approaches to address issues and identifying discrepancies in results.

• Preparing design plans (plan views, profiles, sections, and details) within Autodesk Civil 3D.

• Presenting design solutions to project teams and coordinating with diverse project teams.

• Providing guidance to entry-level engineers.

• Performing work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules with little to moderate supervision.

• Independently completing primary design elements for engineering works.

• Capable of working independently or within a design team.

• Attending client meetings and collaborating effectively with team members, partners, agencies, and clients.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field plus 2-4 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred for visiting project sites or clients if public transportation is not available. Selected candidate will undergo a Motor Vehicle Records review.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam.

• Engineer In Training Certification.

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, Arc GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models.

• Previous work experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies involved in design, construction, or management of Water Resources, Site Development, Transportation, Stormwater, Wastewater, or other general civil-related projects.
