Queen's Health System Receiving Specialist (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for maintaining accurate posting of purchase order receipts through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and other hospital information systems as appropriate.
• Resolves all shipping discrepancies and receiving daily issues in a timely manner.
• Reviews PeopleSoft Accounts Payable Matching Exceptions report. Works closely with other internal departments, suppliers and freight companies to resolve issues.
• Coordinates delivery of medical, IT and special projects equipment.
• Performs duties in accordance with department and medical center policies and procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking; lifting, pushing/pulling usual weight of 10 pounds up to 50 pounds of force, reaching above, at and below shoulder level; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: sitting, repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Occasional: stooping/bending, squatting, twisting body, frequent gripping of an object.
• Operates computer, print, copier, facsimile, scanner and calculator.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Work environment may be stressful while interacting with departments, staff and outside facilities.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years experience in receiving, purchasing, inventory management, logistics and/or supply chain, preferably in a comparable organization.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Experience to demonstrate ability to operate automated receiving/inventory systems.
• Knowledge of medical supplies preferred.
