Robert Half Staff Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from financial statement preparation to assisting with client system implementations. You will be a part of a dynamic environment that values strong technology skills and conceptual knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements with accuracy

• Handle month and year-end close procedures

• Manage and maintain the general ledger

• Prepare and adjust journal entries as necessary

• Assist with client system implementations

• Utilize MS Excel to manage and analyze data, including the use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP

• Apply knowledge of accounting principles to daily work

• Collaborate effectively with team members and clients

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes

• Leverage skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, and QuickBooks.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger maintenance and management

• Able to prepare and record Journal Entries accurately

• Experience in Month End Close procedures and reporting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software

• Knowledge of US GAAP and its application in accounting procedures

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
