Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
The service technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing automotive, electronic, hydraulic, and/or mechanical petroleum equipment and products as applicable. The types of service repair work include pumps, tanks, monitors, gauges, and meter readouts involving petroleum industry products.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, perform repairs, and preventative maintenance of fueling systems
Monitor and be accountable for the accuracy of parts inventory on service van, including transfers of parts to appropriate jobs and other service technicians as applicable, as well as returns to warehouse facilities
Analyze electronic and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required
Install, program, and test new equipment
Communicate with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical people
Essential Skills
6+ months of previous experience working in the mechanical or electrical industry
6+ months of experience operating mechanical equipment and machines, farm labor, or mechanic experience
High School diploma or GED
6+ months of customer service experience
Clean driving record
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in service station/fueling equipment repair

Work Environment
The company is a specialty contractor representing top lines in petroleum fueling systems and automotive servicing equipment, capable of designing, installing, and providing after-market service support in Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Technicians will have their own truck to take home and a designated territory to service. The job can be dirty at times and involves working with petroleum fuels. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds. It's a family-owned company, and getting along with other technicians is important. Employees come from diverse backgrounds, with hobbies including fishing, hunting, sports, or farm life. Hours can vary day to day, sometimes requiring 60-70 hour weeks. After about a year, technicians will be on call approximately every 7 weeks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00
