Accountant, Senior - Regulatory Reporting & Compliance - 000ERS Description Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The Senior Accountant – Regulatory Reporting and Compliance is primarily responsible for preparing and filing required reports to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Railroad Commission of Texas, and to other federal and state agencies. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Coordinate the collection of supporting data and schedules from various departments for preparing regulatory reports. + Analyze general ledger data to ensure proper recording per the FERC Uniform System of Accounts. + Maintain workpapers and supporting documentation for each filing entity. + File quarterly and annual regulatory reports by the required due dates. + Collect and gather data to facilitate external regulatory audits as necessary. + Responding to regulatory agency inquiries as needed. + Assists with resolution of regulatory compliance and reporting issues, as needed. Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: + A Bachelor's degree is required. Accounting degree is required or have completed all accounting courses required to sit for the CPA Exam. + At least five years prior work experience in oil and gas industry is preferred. + Solid understanding of financial statements (cash flow, balance sheet, income statement, retained earnings) is preferred. + Experience with regulatory accounting and reporting (FERC and/or Texas Railroad Commission) is preferred. + Strong ability to analyze and make judgments as to the accuracy of accounting data. + Strong working proficiency/knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel. + Detailed, organized and self-motivated with strong teamwork skills. + Ability to learn quickly and adapt and manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment. + Effective written and oral communication skills with all levels within the organization.
