Robert Half International Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Texas
Our client in the downtown area is seeking a part time AP Specialist on a contract basis. Position will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, and resolving A/P issues are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. As the role progresses , more responsibilities will be assigned to the Accounts Payable Clerk. Located in Houston, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary position.
• Invoice entry.
• Accounts payable.
• Scanning approved invoices.
• Writing checks once a week.
• Helping out with mail.
• Keeping track of revenue from donations in a check log
Strong familiarity with Entering Invoices
Experience with scanning
Check Runs experience
Sage experience required, ADP preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
