Job Description
An employer in the Greenway Plaza area of Houston, Texas area is looking for an IT Contracts & Negotiations Specialist to join the IT Supply Chain organization who will be responsible for negotiating IT/technology-related contracts and help identify opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation in IT contracting. This person will be responsible for negotiating favorable terms and conditions in agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS/XaaS, data licensing , hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors. They will also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as technical leads and legal teams, to ensure that contracts align with project requirements and organizational policies. The IT Contracts & Negotiations Specialist must stay up to date with the latest developments in energy technology, industry regulations, and procurement best practices to ensure effective negotiations and contract management. This person must come from a role where they have previously negotiated IT agreements, not just purchasing agreements. This position pays $70-$72.22/hr.

Skills and Requirements
Experience as an IT Contractor Negotiator responsible for negotiating and redlining both "commercial" and "legal" terms with minimal supervision and with a strong track record of successful negotiations and contract management
In-depth knowledge of IT contracting practices, legal frameworks, and industry standards
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into contractual terms.
Proficiency in using contract lifecycle management software and tool
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, supply chain, or information technology. J.D preferred null
