Description

We are seeking a Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role will focus on managing global accounts for multiple companies, maintaining internal controls, and overseeing financial procedures. You will be part of a team that ensures the completeness, accuracy, and timely processing of financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management and reconciliation of global accounts for multiple companies.

• Record accounting transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper internal controls.

• Conduct variance analysis and monitor accounts, troubleshooting as necessary.

• Manage the processing and recording of revenue and gross profit for operations in various locations.

• Prepare and record monthly journal entries, ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

• Oversee the preparation of borrowing base and covenant compliance reports for a major global bank.

• Manage weekly cash for multiple locations and perform job costing performance review with profit and loss analysis.

• Assist in financial, governmental, and bank audits, ensuring adherence to corporate deadlines and standards.

• Handle foreign exchange processes and payments, and process and record payroll on a semi-monthly and bi-weekly basis.

• Oversee the fixed asset processing, including recording acquisitions and dispositions, conducting physical inventory, and maintaining detailed schedules of assets and accumulated depreciation.

• Investigate potential inventory and fixed asset obsolescence and provide support for preparing property tax returns.

• Supervise both onsite and remote accounting personnel.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in a Controller role or similar financial management position.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

• CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.

• Extensive knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)

• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.

• Demonstrable leadership abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proven knowledge of Job Cost.
