An experienced Controls Engineer position is currently available through Belcan in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7 systems and all related components used for programming software and hardware. This role requires a deep understanding of process control systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, and implement control systems using Siemens PCS 7.
Configure and program Siemens PCS 7 software, including the setup of hardware and software components.
Conduct system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
Provide technical support and maintenance for existing PCS 7 systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all system designs, configurations, and modifications.
Train and support end-users on the operation and maintenance of PCS 7 systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of controls experience
Proven experience with Siemens PCS 7 systems and related components.
Proficiency in programming languages used in PCS 7 environments.
Strong knowledge of control systems design and implementation.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Siemens PCS 7.
Experience in industrial automation and process control.
Familiarity with other Siemens products and solutions.
