Project Overview:

Integrated Materials Management is a core competence of Bechtel's global Supply Chain organization. Integrated Materials Management is an integral part of the broader process of Project Management and considers the unique aspects of capital project execution. Materials Management integrates aspects of the Engineering, Supply Chain, and Construction organizations as it relates to ensuring material flow from planning through execution to project jobsites. The process of engineering and constructing unique construction projects can be described as an iterative series of design-supply-construct activities completed under a set of schedule requirements. . Early engineering design and the specified equipment and materials in compressed schedule environments more than often are shaped by sourcing principles that describe what is available and what can be achieved within the required time frame to support work front planning and constructability reporting. The Integrated Materials Management organization engages Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Controls, and Construction to ensure responsiveness to the dynamic conditions required of constructing major capital projects for our customers, ensuring access to critical information on sourcing and supply of materials that will facilitate completion of the facility design and enable Construction to meet the installation schedule.
