IHG Employee Cafeteria Cook & Cleaner (Full Time) - InterContinental Houston in Houston, Texas
Job Responsibilities
Cook lunch and dinner for the entire property based on the employee cafeteria menu created by head chefs
Wipe down tables and seats to ensure employees always sit at a clean table
Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes, properly arranging them in the correct section of the dish pit for the dishwasher to take care of
Set tables with clean condiments and napkins
Ensure the microwave, hand-washing sink, fridge, food warmer, and drink fountain are cleaned and well-stocked with ice and drinks.
Clean and stock throughout the cafeteria as necessary throughout your shift
Carry dishes, food, silverware, and trays from kitchen to cafeteria when supply runs low
Perform janitorial duties as needed when time permits, such as cleaning food stations and equipment, emptying the trash, mopping up spills, and sweeping during your shift
Job Skills & Qualifications
Able to perform bulk cooking (large batches of food)
Prior work experience as a cook
Able to lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance
Proven written and oral English communication skills
Willingness to be a team player and contribute
