Hunton Services, a division of Hunton Group (https://huntongroup.com/) in Houston, TX, is seeking to hire a motivated and solutions-oriented Fabrication & Modification Project Manager who will manage all aspects of the (HEP) Hunton Engineered Products business. This business focuses on the fabrication and modification of HVAC and industrial cooling equipment. Most of this work is focused on the industrial market, however commercial applications also exist. Selected individuals will have direct responsibility for the administration, implementation, and management of projects and personnel while being accountable for assigned projects' scope of work, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate must have familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures for these systems.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure smooth project collaboration and delivery.
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and according to budget, ensuring quality outcomes.
Conduct proactive project forecasting for effective planning, cost management, and resource allocation.
Ensure efficient resource availability and allocation across project stages.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules to monitor progress and adjust as needed.
Oversee scope changes, schedule adjustments, and budget revisions, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and clear communication.
Manage risk by identifying and mitigating potential issues that could affect project timelines or quality.
Build and nurture partnerships with external vendors, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.
Prepare and submit project close-out documentation, including warranty letters and final reports.
Utilize project management tools (including spreadsheets and documentation) to track deliveries and requirements.
Foster positive working relationships with field personnel, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
Take on additional related responsibilities as required to meet evolving project needs.
Focus on shop schedules, space planning, and material lead time to ensure timely project completion.
Review projects at key milestones for QC/QA compliance and collaborate with the team to address deviations and document corrective actions.
Ensure full adherence to Hunton Engineered Products (HEP) standards for quality expectations, including managing deviations to meet specific customer requirements.
Delegate project deliverables to appropriate team members, ensuring timely and accurate completion aligned with client deadlines.
Collaborate with both field and office teams to resolve challenges caused by unexpected deviations from OEM specifications.
Exceed customer expectations through consistent progress updates, milestone tracking, and transparent communication.
Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and electrical panel design (including UL 508A standards).
Solid knowledge of industrial cooling and air movement systems, ensuring efficient operations and performance.
Familiarity with requirements for classified areas (per NFPA 70 - Section 500) to ensure compliance and safety.
Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills, with strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain attention to detail.
Proficient in MS Word, MS Project, and MS Excel, with the ability to leverage these tools effectively for project management and documentation.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, motivation, and ensuring team alignment with project objectives.
Self-motivated, accountable, and collaborative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to seek support when needed.
Education:
Experience in project management related to the manufacturing, installation, or maintenance of industrial mechanical systems.
Preferred background in project management or maintenance within industrial environments (e.g., Oil & Gas, chemical, heavy manufacturing, laboratory settings), or for industrial clients such as EPC firms. Please include examples of relevant projects.
Previous experience in production or management roles within a fabrication shop or manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
A college degree is a plus but not required.
