Aerotek Fire Alarm Technician in Houston, Texas

Description:

As a lead technician the candidate will be in charge of overseeing all aspects of new construction projects including, Pre-Planning, Wiring, installation, Programming, Troubleshooting and running a fire marshal inspection. They will lead a team of installers and helpers through each phase and work alongside them while teaching and grooming them to be lead techs. They will line out every worker on-site by being prepared with a well thought out plan that is coordinated with the general contractor and other trades. They will be expected to implement changes daily based on project needs and hold their team accountable. These may include extending hours, switching game-plans, assisting other trades and traveling to another jobsite to help with projects. This position requires effective communication and professionalism to resolve issues internally or with other trades.

Requirements:

-5+ years experience in commercial new construction fire alarm projects.

-Valid Fire Alarm License

-Valid Drivers license

-Strong Leadership

-Troubleshooting fire alarm systems

-Has own troubleshooting equipment(Voltage meter, Toning Wand/generator etc.)

-Technicians hand tools(Lineman Pliers/Diagonal cutters, 6-in-1 or 11-in1 screwdriver set and Tweaker(Mini screwdriver)

-Read and interpret blueprints

-Multitasking

Schedule: M-F 7am-4pm , weekends as needed.
