Insight Global Infrastructure Support Specialist in Houston, Texas

Job Description

An Insight Global client in the Houston area is looking for an Infrastructure Support Specialist to join the Infrastructure team in the Westchase area. This person will be responsible for handling escalated requests, maintaining tracking of licenses and software application discs, and the PCLS software server, and nurturing vendor relationships. The Infrastructure Support Specialist is also responsible for collaborating on and producing content for the knowledge database and training materials for more junior team members. The ideal candidate will be a tier 2 support SME with experience troubleshooting routers and switches, client imaging, audio/visual experience, and supporting Dell laptops. Lastly, this person needs to demonstrate independence and a drive to producing results quickly. Strong communication skills are essential for the ideal candidate to be most successful within the infrastructure organization.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Tier II Infrastructure Specialist

5+ years of experience with a standard help desk ticketing systems and remote monitoring and management software

Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing networking issues and problems with modern operating systems

Experience with data management software and Windows Servers

Experience with setting file permissions, email protocols, Active Directory, and Citrix Servers

Excellent customer facing and communication skills Avaya experience null
