ManpowerGroup Project Engineer Automation and Controls in Houston, Texas
Our client, is seeking a Process Safety Consultant to join their team.
What’s the Job?
Develop and implement process safety management programs and initiatives
Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA), layer of protection analyses (LOPA), and safety integrity level (SIL) assessments
Lead process safety reviews, audits, and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards and risks
Provide technical expertise and guidance on process safety regulations, standards, and best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process safety considerations into engineering design, operations, and maintenance activities
Develop and deliver process safety training programs for employees at all levels
Monitor and track process safety performance metrics and recommend improvements as needed
Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, and develop corrective and preventive actions
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process safety technology and methodologies
What’s Needed?
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, process safety, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in process safety management within the oil and gas, petrochemical, or related industry
In-depth knowledge of process safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA PSM, API RP 750, NFPA 59A)
Strong understanding of process hazards and risk assessment techniques
Experience leading PHA, LOPA, and SIL assessments
Proficiency in process safety software tools (e.g., PHA-Pro, SIL Solver)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
Proven track record of driving process safety improvements and fostering a culture of safety excellence
