Insight Global Project Engineer in Houston, Texas
Job Description
An employer in Downtown, Houston is looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for supporting project engineering and project management functions across 15-20 projects. These responsibilities may include:
Reviewing Plan & Profiles.
Ensuring that construction can take place without complications.
Acquire easements, permits, and additional authorization to cross pipelines and other existing infrastructure.
Checking drawings, supporting other engineers by submitting survey requests, coordinating with overhead teams to acquire pole location authorizations, read through one-line diagrams, request new plans from vendors, and support the existing engineers ad hoc.
Review prints and drawings from external engineering design firms.
Coordinate with various internal teams to reach project deliverables (ex. Construction Team, Scheduling Team, Project Management, etc.)
Outline and review required materials for projects. Execute project from design to construction.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
3-5+ Years of Experience in Project Engineering or Project Management role
Ability to read engineering drawings, designs, drafts/layouts, and plans & profiles.
Experience utilizing Electrical and/or Civil Engineering understanding to execute projects from design to construction.
Proficient with MicroStation
Experience with Overhead Distribution Projects
Familiar with SAP (work order tracking/processing) Overhead distribution design experience null
