About the Role:
As a CBRE Security Associate, you will oversee physical, electronic, travel, and emergency security operations. This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets.
This role is located in the Downtown Houston area.
What You’ll Do:
Promote positive public relations by offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests while responding to their requests.
Manage building operations. This includes inspecting the grounds to ensure security requirements are met, controlling location access, and monitoring the activities of visitors.
Work with law enforcement agencies regarding threats, investigations, and other security-related issues.
Monitor and control the building's life safety system and central security panel and communicate any security issues to the client representative.
Ensure all daily activity reporting is complete, and register information is accurate and correct for the next shift.
Enforce parking regulations and report fire and safety hazards. Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss.
Maintain a working knowledge of all current building, fire, and life safety code requirements in compliance with local and national regulations.
Work with the manager regarding events, incidents, or concerns.
Evaluate operating guidelines and practices and recommend improvements.
Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.
What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Must meet local or national security staff certification requirements.
Fulfill the physical requirements associated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Must be able to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within one's own job function is required.
Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
