Robert Half Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a diligent and skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in the automotive industry, located in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining and implementing best practices for business intelligence, as well as leading strategic initiatives in reporting and data visualization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and advocate best practices for visual information delivery through effective reporting and visualization techniques.

• Lead the Business Intelligence Community of Practice, fostering excellence in business intelligence throughout the organization.

• Manage the creation of strategic reporting and visualization assets to support key program initiatives.

• Collaborate with corporate IT to establish a technology platform that caters to both ad-hoc and enterprise-wide reporting needs.

• Design, build, and maintain advanced reports and interactive dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

• Create compelling visualizations to effectively communicate insights derived from data analysis and AI initiatives.

• Collaborate with various business units to comprehend data requirements, and translate them into actionable and meaningful information.

• Guarantee the accuracy and integrity of data by conducting thorough validation and testing processes.

• Provide training and support to business users on the effective use of reporting tools and dashboards.

• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in BI technology and data visualization techniques. Requirements • Proficient in BusinessObjects Technologies

• Skilled in Cognos Business Intelligence

• Comprehensive understanding of Database structures

• Experience with EO/IR systems

• Familiar with Maps API

• Strong analytical skills

• Expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and related technologies

• Ability to create and interpret Business Requirement Documents

• Proven experience working with Business Users in an automotive industry

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• Solid project management skills

• Understanding of data warehousing design principles

• Knowledge of SQL and other data manipulation languages

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
