Robert Half is searching for a Senior Accountant for a short-term contract / temporary opportunity with an exciting organization in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Mgt industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities in this role
Ad-hoc projects as required
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Bring a daily dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)
Yardi experience desired
Sage Timberline experience preferred
General familiarity with property accounting
Month end closings experience highly desired
Adeptness in account reconciliation
Practical knowledge of property accounting
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Substantial knowledge in financial reporting
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks
