JPMorgan Chase Sr Manager of Cybersecurity Architecture - Email Security in Houston, Texas

As a Senior Manager of Cybersecurity Architecture at JPMorgan Chase within the Cyber and Tech Controls line of business, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple cybersecurity teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance the architecture target state.
Job responsibilities
Delivers threat modeling to identify vulnerabilities in product design and provide control recommendations to mitigate those risks
Briefs stakeholders on key security risks and emerging threats associated with the product, technology stack, and customer base
Collaborates with technical teams to translate and summarize complex technical concepts to inform leadership and key stakeholder conversations
Builds new and strengthens existing relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners via strong communication and interpersonal skills
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, acquisition, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of cybersecurity designs, technical approaches for integration with existing systems and cybersecurity architecture
Provides overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level architects that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
Is accountable for decisions that impact team resources, budget, procedures, tactical operations, and process implementation
Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
Champions the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on cybersecurity architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
Experience running teams of architects that deliver security solutions operations and design cybersecurity products and solutions
Experience leading teams of technologists
Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against set strategic initiatives
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (SPF, DKIM & DMARC), encryption, gateway solutions, virtualization and SaaS
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge as it relates to Email Security technologies
Excellent command of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, threats and vulnerabilities preferred for the role
Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager
Innate technical curiosity and ability to quickly grasp new concepts or patterns
Ability to effectively multi-task, potentially managing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive deliverables for a wide range of stakeholders
Familiarity with software engineering best practices and methodologies, which may include tools like JIRA Align and other industry-standard workflows, to streamline project management and optimize team collaboration
