Robert Half Staff Accountant in Houston, Texas
Description A growing real estate and construction company located near the med center is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team!
Responsibilities include:
• Accounts Receivables for assigned properties/entities.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts including timely resolution of bank errors/differences.
• Cash management
• Reconciliation of property closeout packages.
• Monthly and yearly financial statements and budgets.
• Maintenance of general ledger, journal entries, accruals.
• Analysis of budget variances.
• Performs special projects for senior management as needed including:
a. Creation of spreadsheets using raw data with minimum instructions from management.
b. Performs calculations and analysis of data using the spreadsheet.
c. Creation of clear, accurate, and concise schedules using Excel.
d. Ability to work on special projects while maintaining daily duties.
The ideal candidate will have a BBA in Accounting, 2+ years of accounting experience including financial statements, budgets, general ledger, bank reconciliations and intermediate Excel skills.
Compensation is up to 72K

Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
General ledger experience
Bank reconciliations experience
Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
