Kinder Morgan, Inc. is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. We own an interest in or operate approximately 82,000 miles of pipelines and over 139 terminals. Our pipelines transport natural gas, refined petroleum products, crude oil, condensate, CO2 and other products. Our terminals transload and store liquid commodities including petroleum products, ethanol and chemicals, and bulk products, including petroleum coke, metals, and ores.

Position Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team responsible for managing all corporate credit card functions including new card issuance, transaction reconciliation, limit adjustments, program payments, and accounting close.

  • Own the relationship with the credit card issuing bank. Conduct regular business reviews to include program KPI’s and strategy discussions.

  • Develop and maintain the annual program budget. Track and explain variances.

  • Provide comprehensive training to procurement and travel cardholders and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.

  • Monitor for potential fraud or misuse of procurement and travel cards and implement measures to mitigate risk.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits of the credit card program and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance program efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs.

  • Generate regular reports on program performance, usage trends, and compliance metrics for management review.

  • Work with operations and procurement to develop programs to further leverage credit cards as a method of payment.

  • Develop policies and credit card program governance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years relevant work experience.

Competencies

  • Proven experience in procurement, finance, or accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Advanced knowledge of procurement and travel card management best practices

  • Experience with data mining, data manipulation, financial modeling, and analysis

  • Experience with Concur and/or BOA works expense management platforms.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate across departments.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and procedures.

  • Ability to interpret information and data analysis, apply and communicate the information for use by a wide range of customers.

  • General understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Experience rolling out and supporting corporate programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Based in Houston Headquarters with a 9/80 Work Schedule.

  • Occasional travel may be required, as determined by Hiring Manager.

  • Job level and salary commensurate with experience and skill sets.

  • Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and respond as needed during working and non-working hours.

  • May be required to work non-traditional hours to support emergencies.
