Job Overview:

The Vessel Operations Engineer (VST) reports to the VST Manager and is located in each region. Where possible they rotate to gain experience. The engineers are given many challenging project experiences offshore with a minimum of 6 week on/6 week off rotations. While on 6 week off rotation, the VST Engineer will be responsible for executing the organization’s specific objectives supporting tendering, projects, and developing standard operating procedures and vessel norms.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, appraise and contribute to various Company initiatives, and career planning will create highly motivated and broadly aware engineers·

  • Additionally, the Engineers are trained in the following areas:

  • DP

  • Rigging

  • Survey

  • ROV

  • Tooling

  • Construction

  • Pipe-lay

  • Planning and Scheduling·

  • Manage, control, train, and mentor directly by the VST Managers, imposing quality/standards of competence

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • BS or MS in Engineering (Naval Architect, Oceaneering, Structural, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, , Fire/Safety Protection, Construction Management from accredited college or university or equivalent

  • Effective English communication skills

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent

  • Able to follow company policies and procedures

  • Works well in team environment

  • Able to work well with clients

  • Able to see clarification

  • Able to report

  • Able to prepare technical reports

  • Able to accept and implement decisions
