Job Description

David Weekley Homes is seeking a high-energy sales professional who wants to be part of a creative, energized team and who possesses exceptional phone skills and strong computer skills to join our team as a Visitor Engagement Specialist.

This Team Member serves as a backup to the online sales team (Internet Advisors or IA’s), our primary points of contact across our digital channels, for all cities DWH operates in. This person will be responsible for the prompt execution of customer requests, ongoing follow-up, and ensuring a positive and productive business relationship, driving revenue growth.

This Team Member will be required to work on-site at our home office one day per week plus occasionally attend meetings/events at the office. While this is primarily a work-from-home opportunity, this Team Member must be within commuting distance of the office, per the on-site requirements. Our Houston headquarters is located near the intersection of 610 West Loop & I-10 Katy Freeway.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales by answering questions and eliciting as much information as possible to help our Customers determine the DWH communities and homes that best suit their needs.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to all email, phone and other inquiries received from Customers.

  • Follow up with online Customers to create engagement, set appointments and complete other activities that result in their visiting our communities.

  • Maintain ongoing, personal contact with our Customers.

  • Field requests as a backup to existing Internet Advisor Team.

  • Demonstrate current, accurate and comprehensive knowledge of each DWH community and market supported.

  • Work closely with Sales Consultants to best determine the communities and homes that will best meet each Customer’s needs.

  • Display outstanding Customer Service skills and teamwork.

  • On an as-needed basis, this role will provide weekend coverage (and receive equivalent time off during the work week in return)

  • Periodic travel to Divisions and home office

    Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and disciplined. Must possess effective sales, customer service, organizational and communication skills. Must have an ability to develop rapport & gain trust over the phone and internet.

  • Two years of Real Estate sales experience.

  • Demonstrated sales success.

  • Prior online sales or new home sales experience is a plus.

  • Exceptional phone skills.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office software.

  • Internet and email proficiency.

  • Exceptional writing and telephone communication skills.

  • Strong organizational, planning and self-management skills.

  • Ability to prioritize time well, manage several projects at once and working under deadlines.

  • Capable of working in an unstructured environment, while successfully completing projects with minimal supervision

  • Proven ability to consistently and properly follow up with Customers.

  • Experience with Instant Messaging technology preferred.
