Citigroup VP, Corporate Trust, Transaction & Relationship Manager (CLO) in Houston, Texas

The Transaction & Relationship Manager is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Agency & Trust transactions for products covering Structured Finance and Structured Credit. Must possess strong client service and problem solving skills, ability to independently manage portfolio of transactions, negotiate and onboard new business, acts as primary contact for existing client relationships, assist sales with new business initiatives and participate in client meetings and special projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day management and support of structured capital transactions consisting primarily of ABS, CLO, CMBS and RMBS.

  • Address client inquiries and work with functional partners on any special client servicing issues or requirements.

  • Assist the client lifecycle strategy from acquisition through early client engagement implementation and maintenance of transactions

  • Assist with client and other transaction stakeholders (bankers, counsel, lenders, noteholders) with day-to-day activities related to their transactions

  • Review and oversee day-to-day transaction activity

  • Address and resolve inquiries from both internal and external Agency & Trust clients in connection with transactions,

  • Adhere to A&T/Citibank policies and procedures as regards client onboarding, deal implementation, account opening and deal maintenance

  • Coordinate with Operations for transaction set-up, activity and reporting

  • Coordinate with Operations for inquiries from clients and other transaction stakeholders

  • In all matters, demonstrate particular consideration for the banks reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Participate in routine client calls to existing and new customers of Agency & Trust.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6-year Corporate Trust or comparable relevant experience in corporate banking;

  • Demonstrated experience in deal implementation and management

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Corporate Trust

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex Corporate Trust legal documents.

  • Ability to manage and meet a diverse set of internal and external demands.

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$114,720.00 - $172,080.00
