Need 1 full time, temporary, seasonal Beekeeper to work in Howard Lake, MN. Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day From: 05/30/2024 - 11/30/2024 In Minnesota only, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of time and a half. ESST Law: Effective January 1st, 2024, an employee earns one hour of safe and sick time for every 30 hours worked and can earn up to 48 hours in a year. Must Apply By: 08/31/2024 JOB DUTIES: Add / remove bee boxes; assess hive health; monitor bees for mites; extract and barrel honey; clean and maintain warehouse; build hive covers; assemble and paint bee boxes; all relevant duties pertaining to honey bees production. Work performed includes repetitive movements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months experience; able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly; valid Driver's License or able to obtain Driver's License within 30 days of hire; not allergic to bees or to pollen; not afraid of bees; no minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
