DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The main responsibility associated with this role involves the operation of equipment for the construction and upkeep of all infrastructure within Forest District 11, as well as providing support for wildfire suppression efforts. The key focus of this position is to ensure that all equipment is operated efficiently and effectively to maintain and improve the infrastructure within the designated forest district. In addition to operating equipment, the individual in this role will also be required to assist in wildfire suppression activities, which may involve working in challenging and dynamic environments to protect the forest and surrounding areas. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of the infrastructure within Forest District 11, as well as contributing to the overall efforts to prevent and control wildfires in the region.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

This is a seasonal, full-time position without benefits. The season runs from approximately March until November at which the employee is placed on leave without pay. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months experience in the operation and maintenance of large vans, buses and single-chassis trucks with a gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds or more; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:
