This position could be located in Hugo OK, Durant OK, McAlester OK, or Poteau OK.
Job Purpose or Objective(s): You will provide therapy to individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. You will assist individuals to deal with issues associated with addictions and substance abuse, family, marital problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, aging and any other emotional stressors. You will report to the Program Manager.
Primary Tasks:
You will provide individual counseling for children of Outreach Tribal Services programs and referrals who meet eligibly standards set by CNO and the CHAT Program and participants in crisis calls.
Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders.
Prepare and maintain all treatment records and uphold client safety standards.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical needs of clients.
You will be liaison between program staff, clients, relatives, internal and outside agencies.
Interpret and help resolve problems that relate to medical condition and hospitalization.
Collaborate with other staff members to perform clinical assessments or develop treatment plans.
Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Master's degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related human services
Must be a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LADC-MH, LMFT) or under management for licensure
Understand dynamics of domestic violence/intimate partner violence
1+ years working experience in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities. This includes individual, group, and family counseling or psychotherapy, case management interventions, diagnostic assessment and related interventions with substance abuse and mental health disorders (co-occurring treatment).
