Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Humble, Texas
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager in the wholesale distribution/logistics industry, located in the North Houston area. This role will encompass supervising accounting personnel, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures, and overseeing general accounting, receivables, payables, and cash management.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the general accounting, receivables and payables, and cash management
• Manage the monthly and quarterly close processes
• Prepare, review and submit monthly management financial statements
• Conduct monthly WIP preparation and review
• Review or prepare account reconciliations
• Review or record journal entries
• Review and submit quarterly reporting package
• Analyze revenues, expenses and balance sheet items as needed
• Approve disbursements and liaise with banks
• Assist CFO with budgeting and forecasting exercises
• Serve as the primary contact for and coordinator of annual IFRS financial statement audit
• Handle queries from and correspondence with head office accounting
• Consistently meet reporting deadlines with a goal of no adjustments or corrections after submission
• Manage and develop department personnel.
Requirements
Degree in Accounting
5+ years experience and at least 3 supervising.
Strong manual accounting experience, very hands on.
Month end close, high-volume sales and gross margin analysis, WIP experience.
US GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
Strong Excel
