Confidential Employer Certified Pharmacy Technician in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania
The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including prescription processing, data entry, inventory control, customer service, and assisting the pharmacists in dispensing medications. Our LTC, closed-door pharmacy services Long-term care patients residing in their homes and is not open to the public. Additionally, the pharmacy technician will assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace, ensuring compliance with regulations, and coordinating prescription deliveries with our drivers,
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prescription intake/Data Entry
Physician outreach for new prescriptions and refills
- Counting, filling and preparing prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
Picking/packing medication using the Parata system
Maintaining the Parata machine including stocking trays and cannisters, cleaning, and coordinating maintenance with Parata Systems technician
Inventory management, including ordering, organizing, counting, and removing expired stock
Patient outreach for medication compliance and/or education. Contacting insurance companies for patient eligibility or prior authorizations Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Prescription Delivery to patient homes (as needed)
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required
Certified pharmacy technician (Nationally Certified by PTCB or NCCT preferred)
Knowledge and understanding of pharmacy operations and procedures
Experience in prescription processing and data entry
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (QS1/PrimeCare preferred)
- Experience using the Parata pharmacy automation system (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Good communication and interpersonal skills
Problem solver
Able to physically perform light lifting Reliable team player
Valid Driver's license and means of transportation (We provide a company vehicle for deliveries).
Bilingual is a plus (but not required)
PROPOSED SCHEDULE: Mon- Fri (40 hours per week)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
