Position Description:

CGI Federal is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to work on technical application development projects and systems analysis projects for medium- to large-scale automated inventory projects. The Business Systems Analyst will provide data and process analysis to identify data anomalies and potential process optimization.

This position is located in Anniston, AL.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Act as a business process liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support personnel.

• Participate in user training and support sessions

• Conduct data analysis and comparisons of data sets from multiple business systems to identify errors, anomalies and trends.

• Develop and present professional reports containing data analysis and provide observations and recommendations based on existing policy and procedures.

• Offer recommendations for improvements in systems, applications, processes, and solving problems that may arise in the course of client operations.

• Researches existing applications, system data, business processes and constraints to evaluate current and future system capabilities

• Work with senior client functional managers and staff. Advise on interface design, systems requirements, and all phases of the SDLC and best practices.

• Create current and future business process designs and work flows to identify areas for improvement

• Track progress on various initiatives and make recommendations to mitigate risk, ensure timely responses and escalate appropriately as required. Identifies issues that may be a risk to the project and communicates the risks and possible mitigations to the team and clients.

• Work closely with system design team and both program and functional clients to develop technology systems that meet business requirements and mission.

• Offer recommendations for improvements in systems, applications, processes, and solving problems that may arise in the course of client operations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Skilled in data analysis and developing reporting mechanisms and presentations to support system integration and sustainment.

• Excellent oral and written communications skills particularly conveying complex technical concepts to program-oriented clients.

• Proficiency in standard office automation tools, specifically MS Office.

• In depth knowledge of Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) policies and procedures specific to inventory control and equipment accountability.

• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations

• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly

• Understanding and knowledge of DLA Logistics operations and policies.

• Experience in understanding complex policies and translating into business processes and procedures.

• Experience in communicating status to management and ranking personnel.

• Experience in developing and implementing efficient quality measurement systems

• Able to lift over 50 lbs.

• Able to stand/walk in excess of 4 hours at a time

• US Citizenship is required.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

• Knowledge of DLA Anniston business processes

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300.00 - $150,200.00.
